pg. 32 - Wide Crop Pants

Summer is hot, am I right? If you work in an office jeans/dress pants can become heated, so keep your eye out for a cotton wide legged pant! This look is easier to style than you think.

There are a few key things to look for when shopping a wide leg crop pant. Number one: How well made are the pants? Do they bunch in a weird way that you would feel unconformable all through dinner? Look for a pant that LAYS well. A higher waist is good here, look for that!

Know your height.

I had the pants pictured taken up an inch and a half, and it is defiantly worth the $15 to get your pants tailored. You want your pants to hit slightly above your ankles. Not too long for sure, because if you go too long it will add weight to your leg. Think about where you always forget to shave around your ankle, that's where the leg should hit.

Pay attention to the Pockets.

Everlane did a fantastic job here with the back pockets. Since living in San Francisco (Everlane's homeland) I've seen so many girls wearing these pants. Just let me say, they are butt friendly! Seriously. Look for this. A high waisted pant requires goooood pockets.

I was so excited to visit Everlane after browsing endlessly over the internet. Needless to say, this place is a timeless, classic shop. All articles of clothing look as if they could be hanging in your closet for the next 10+ years>.  Everlane seems to run true to size, except in mens, my boyfriend (6'3) looked like he had on a cropped top. I would defiantly recommend this shop to anyone looking to build a timeless wardrobe.
