pg. 24 - denim on denim

Question: “What some styling advice for wearing denim on denim?”

Paige: I'm really excited to write this post. Why? Because denim is my favorite to style! Don't ask me how many jeans I own. Let's get started! Key elements to keep in mind when styling a denim coma: washes. This is so so important. You can make or break a look here. Basically you want your denim washed not to clash. If you're a beginner you can't go wrong with mixing black jeans with a denim jacket. Level one status.

Level two: Similar but not the same wash. Under layers are key here! Either add a pop of pattern/color to go neutral. I'm at a level two in this look. These washes are just slightly off from each other, but the distressed knees help to break up the look.

While I have your attention have you entered the Jord Watch giveaway yet? I've worn this watch to work everyday since it came in its perfect wooden box, so I must say I'm a fan. Enter the contest for a chance to win $100 voucher for your watch of choice!

Level three: three levels of denim... Just kidding I don't have a level three. Basically your options are black and blue denim or similar washes of blue. If you want to wear identical wash make sure you're really using your other layer/accessories to break up the look.

I have to give a shot out to Madewell for these BF jeans, because they are perfect for spring. I sized down and they are wonderful. The raw hem makes them perfect for sandals and the ripped knee makes you feel effortlessly chill.
