Saturdaz at Fort Mason Park
Obviously I need a refill in this picture but I'm so excited to write this post because I love spending sunny Saturdays at the park by Fort Mason. It's so California. I'm going to break down my ideal Saturday leading up to spending the afternoon basking in the sun.
San Francisco is the perfect walkable city. Seriously if you're visiting make sure to walk EVERY WHERE. You don't want to miss any of it and an Uber window will not so you any favors. SO fuel up in the morning with Philz Coffee! It is all over the place and the best coffee I've ever had. My favorite roast is a medium one - Tesora. Also my girlfriends favorite was the iced Mint Mojito (light sweeter). If you're in Union Square/ Financial district be sure to stop by Noah's for a great bagel (I get the Mushroom and spinach + one egg on a jalapeño bagel). Next get ready for some hills!
Walk towards the Fishermans Wharf up some very steep hills and enjoy the scenery. You will pass lots of cute wine bars and coffee shops be sure to take not for dinner. For dinner I normally could go for Elephant Sushi. Once you hit the wharf and walk around a bit be sure to stop at Jack's for a great patio and lots of draft beer. Beer is about $7 a glass and cash only. Patio's can be hard to find in San Fran so Eric and I hit this place up a lot! Grab a few beers and follow the path towards the Golden Gate bridge (watch out there are a lot of bikers). It's about a 10 minute walk and once you see the green grass full of people drinking beer and listening to music you have arrived!
Pro tip: There is a Safeway right down the hill with a huge wine selection. Be sure to stop there before sitting on the green Cali grass. We grabbed some cheese, crackers, Rose, and beer and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing. Ton's of people had the same idea as us because Safeway had a gaggle of boys leaving with a 24 pack every time we looked in that direction!
I wish I would have taken a picture of the view instead of 75 pictures of my outfit...
PS Lombard Street isn't far from the Fishermans Wharf if it is on your travel list. Truly a beautiful street so be sure to take a look and a picture!
And of course my travel outfit details! This pink two piece jumpsuit is technically a swim cover up, but it worked out perfectly fine for everyday wear as well. I plan on styling it both ways all summer.
